As you can see from the two screenshots above, the room looks almost identical in both cases. Unfortunately, one is from the popular role playing game from Bethesda Softworks The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion while the other is from Majestic Games' Limbo Of The Lost (LotL). Apparently, if you wander around in LotL you’ll find other areas that seem to be taken straight out of other games like The Elder Scrolls III:Morrowind, Silent Hill and Thief.
Bethesda Games, Oblivion's developer, has not taken kindly to their hard work being stolen and used in a shipping title, and have called up their friendly neighborhood lawyers to sort out this mess. In the meantime, the US publisher of the game, Tri Synergy has announced that they’ve “discontinued distribution” of LotL, and are “just as shocked as everyone else”.
Well well, even though I'm from a country that has barely managed to produce a single videogame, I guess even I understand Bethesda's sentiments. Its sort of embarrasing for Majestic Games, there's no dearth of talent in the industry guys. Be original. And by the way, all you "other" bloggers, you'd better not try to copy my content!! Why?? Simply because my lawyer is bigger than yours!! Peace out!!
